Hi everyone!

Welcome to my new blog- Katei-Ryori.  Katei-Ryori in Japanese means “Home Cooking”, referring to cooking that your family members such as your mother or grandmother may have made (Katei means “in the family”).

The purpose of my blog is to share my family and our friends’ recipes that have been passed along through generations.  As part of a bicultural family, I have been raised on Japanese and Western food, along with some fusion of both cuisines.  The recipes I will be sharing range from traditional Japanese fare to Hawaiian dishes, and a myriad of other cuisines.

These recipes evoke a sense of nostalgia in myself, and I am hoping that the recipes I share can become a part of your Katei as well.
